365 Day Penny Saving Challenge

Hey guys

Today I am going to give you the low down on a really amazing way to save money over the course of the year.

I followed this method roughly a couple of years ago and ended up with over £600 in my savings by the end of the year. Now I know this isn’t loads but it pretty much paid for my yearly holiday without even having to touch a bank!

This is the basic chart, you simply cross off or colour in the amount that you’ve saved or paid into your money box every day. When I did this I started at the top and worked my way through so 1st Jan was 1p, 2nd Jan was 2p and so on.

I’m going to see if I can figure out how to put a printable version of this into here so bare with me slightly!!

If you’re anything like me you won’t carry loads of change around with you and this is where I came up against it. It would often get to the end of a week and I’d realise I’d not put any money into the tub. Because of this I basically added up how much it was per week and paid in this on every Sunday.

A little research and I’ve found that Skint Dad has already made a chart with this all figured out for you!

I’d love to know if anyone is going to give this a try and how you get on with it! Happy New Year guys!!!
